Jewish Weddings and
Jewish Interfaith Weddings

When two people commit their lives to one another, it’s often seen as the most important day of their lives. Just as meaningfully, it’s also the beginning of many important days to come. My goal is to help create a wedding ceremony that reflects who you are—your individuality, your shared values, and the traditions you hold dear.

Jewish weddings are rich in symbolism. I take time to explain these traditions during the ceremony so that everyone—family, friends, and guests—feels included and connected. Some couples prefer a formal tone; others want something relaxed, with room for humor. Together, we shape a ceremony that feels authentic to you.

Interfaith Weddings: A Blending of Faiths

Love knows no religious boundaries. Over the years, I’ve had the honor of officiating weddings between:

  • Jewish and Muslim

  • Jewish and Farsi

  • Jewish and Catholic

  • Jewish and Protestant

  • Jewish and Buddhist

  • Jewish and Hindu

I’ve also officiated ceremonies where neither partner is Jewish, but they choose to include Jewish traditions to reflect their spiritual connection.

Whether I’m leading solo or collaborating with clergy from another faith, my approach is rooted in respect, open communication, and a deep belief that differences can enrich a relationship. If Judaism is important to one or both partners, I work to ensure it is meaningfully represented in the ceremony.

Every wedding is unique, and I’m committed to making the experience inclusive and comfortable for everyone involved. I prefer to meet couples in person when possible, but video or phone meetings also work well. What matters most is that you feel comfortable with the person officiating your marriage.

At the heart of it, I hold this philosophy: It’s your wedding, not mine.

Blending Traditions with Meaning

Whether you're celebrating in Austin or anywhere else, I’ll guide you through the meaning behind various rituals and help you blend different cultural elements in a way that honors both your backgrounds. Many traditions share common themes—and we can highlight those connections to create a ceremony that beautifully bridges two families and heritages.

Same-Gender Weddings

Love is love. I’m honored to officiate weddings for same-gender couples and celebrate their commitment both spiritually and legally. It is a joy and privilege to sanctify love in all its forms.
